The short answer to the question people actually mean: no, we do not put your data or your work into a model. The long answer is below, including where we do use one.
What goes into a model
| Data | Into a model? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our own source code | Yes | It is how the platform gets built. |
| Our own brand and voice docs | Yes | So a draft comes back in the right register. |
| Public product copy, ours | Yes | Already public, and ours to use. |
| Customer names, addresses, orders | No | Never. Not for support, not for analysis. |
| Payment details | No | We do not hold them at all. See Security. |
| A seller’s customer list | No | We are never sent one. |
| A seller’s unreleased work | No | It is theirs and it is often the whole business. |
Training
Listing here does not grant us a licence to feed your product images or your descriptions to anyone. Co-listing is a shelf, not a data arrangement.
Generated imagery
No generated imagery is presented as product. A product photo shows the real object. This is a marketplace for things people made, and a rendered garment on a rendered body is a lie about both.
Sellers are held to the same line. At least one shot of the real item is a listing requirement. See What we accept.
Disclosure
We say founder-led, AI-assisted and we mean it literally. Where it matters:
- The platform is AI-assisted. Code, tooling and drafts. Every line is read by a person before it ships.
- The products are not. Made by the people selling them.
- These docs are AI-assisted and human-approved. Including this sentence.
- Ask and we will tell you. Specifically, about any specific thing.
The position underneath
AI here is access and infrastructure. It is how two people ship something that normally needs a team, and how skills and resources that are usually gatekept get pointed at a community that is usually locked out of them.
It is never the creative product. The moment it is, the platform is competing with the people it exists to pay, and there would be no reason for any of this to exist. Full position in How we use AI.
