Two lines of revenue. Both published. Neither is a cut of a fundraiser and neither is hidden in a checkout.
Where the money comes from
| Line | Who pays | What it funds |
|---|---|---|
| The co-listing fee | Sellers, on attributed sales | The platform. Hosting, payouts, support, the build. |
| CLUB dues | Members, monthly or up front | Vers Capital, in full. |
| House margin | Buyers of our own products | The houses we own and run. |
| Studio and licensing | Clients and licensees | Company revenue. Not earmarked anywhere. |
The fee is a flat 6% and the entry membership is $5 a month. Both numbers live on their own pages and are not restated in copy that would then need maintaining.
What we take no cut of
- Card processing. A passthrough. It never touches us on the way through.
- Donations and fundraisers. Peer to peer. Not built yet, and when it is, the platform does not take a cut.
- Money you make off-platform. Your own store, your own customers, your own everything. Co-listing is not exclusivity.
- A page we built for you. No rent and no revenue share. See Artist and brand pages.
Why the numbers are public
Because the alternative is what everyone else does. An unpublished take rate is a rate that can move on you, and a rate quoted in a sales call is a rate that differs by who is asking. One number, on a page, is the only version of this that a seller can hold us to.
It is also the cheapest possible proof that DØLLs get paid first is a mechanism rather than a slogan. The fee is small, singular, and checkable against your own payout.
Retired, and not coming back
Old copy on the internet still carries some of these. None of them are live and none should be quoted:
| Retired | What replaced it |
|---|---|
| A three-tier fee ladder | One flat rate for everyone. |
| An 80/20 revenue split | Never live. It was a proposal. |
| 10% off everything for members | Free shipping, because a blanket discount eats a partner’s margin. |
| “X% of revenue flows to Vers Capital” | The account is funded by dues, never by a cut of a sale. |
| “100% of platform net, no founder margin” | We are a for-profit company and say so. |
The shape of the company
- For-profit and investable. Not a charity, not a non-profit, not a foundation.
- Founder-owned, by Zoe Touloupis and Taylor Turner.
- Vers Capital is an internal account, not a legal entity and not ring-fenced by law.
- Verse Holdings, the future parent, has not been formed. Roadmap, not fact. Anything implying a live parent or subsidiary structure is wrong.
