Money goes to you first and the fee comes off in the same movement. There is no invoice to pay later and no balance we sit on.
The split, at the moment of sale
Buyer pays gross
− card processing passthrough. we never hold it
− platform fee flat 6%
─────────────────────────────
= your cut to YOUR connected accountThe split is applied when the charge is captured, not reconciled afterwards. Your cut lands in an account in your own name that you control. We cannot withdraw from it.
Card processing is a passthrough cost. It is taken by the processor before anything is counted and it is not revenue to us at any point. What the 6% does and does not cover is on the fee page.
When it lands
| Stage | Timing |
|---|---|
| Charge captured, split applied | At purchase |
| Funds settle in your connected account | Two business days |
| Paid out to your bank | On your payout schedule, weekly by default |
If you are a partner brand
Different shape entirely. A co-listed product routes the buyer to your own checkout, so you are paid by your own store on your own schedule and we never touch the money. The fee on attributed sales is invoiced instead. Mechanics in List on Shopify.
Chargebacks and disputes
- The dispute is against you, because you are the seller of record. You submit the evidence.
- The processor charges a dispute fee whether you win or lose. This is why a chargeback is worse for you than a return, and why the returns policy asks buyers to talk first.
- A lost dispute reverses the sale and the fee. We do not keep 6% of a sale that was clawed back.
- Keep your proof. Tracking with delivery confirmation wins most disputes. Nothing else reliably does.
A refund you issue voluntarily also reverses the fee. We take nothing on money you gave back.
Currency
The marketplace prices and settles in USD. If your bank account is in another currency, the conversion happens at your payout and the rate is the processor’s, not ours. Multi-currency pricing is not built.
Tax
- Sales tax on the buyer’s side is calculated and collected at checkout from the delivery address.
- Your income tax is yours. We are not your accountant and nothing here is tax advice.
- Year-end documents are issued by the payment processor, to the details on your connected account, where the thresholds require it. Keep those details current or the form goes to the wrong place.
- Your own statements live in your payout dashboard, per payout, exportable.
