V10 · PRISM PAPER LUXE. Every earlier version is retired. These are the rules that do not bend, and each one exists because breaking it made a page look cheap.
The page lies flat
- No bubble UI, no floating panels, no drop shadows on page furniture.
- Glass is for cards and tiles only. Never page chrome, never an overlay menu.
- Overlays are opaque. A see-through dropdown over content is unreadable and reads as unfinished.
Restraint references: SSENSE, YSL, GRAILED. Not a dashboard, not a startup landing page.
No divider lines. Ever.
Still allowed, because these are not dividers:
- Link and emphasis underlines.
- Tab and active-state indicators.
- Form input borders.
- Full card and tile outlines, as a complete border.
- Vertical edges, left or right.
- The header, nav, dropdown and footer chrome hairlines.
The test: is its only job to draw a line? Then it does not ship.
Nothing is rounded
Radius is zero, everywhere. Buttons, cards, inputs, images, chips. Imagery is 5:6 portrait in a fixed-ratio box with the subject covered, so any upload from any seller crops uniformly and a grid of strangers reads as one shop.
White ground, everywhere
- Grounds are white or black. Never a tone.
- Footers are white too. The dark footer is retired.
- A black card is allowed as a depicted object, because it is a picture of a thing rather than a dark surface.
- Dark mode is scoped to social cards only. A feed is not a page. It does not travel to the storefront.
Mint leads
- Actions are flat solid mint, square. No gradient, no glow, no pill.
- Mint carries stat digits and markers.
- Never inside headline type. See Type.
- Never a mint fill-box behind a hovered item. Use a quiet shift to the deep step instead. A green highlight block is the fastest way to make a menu look like a form from 2009.
Colour is an index
Each house and page type owns a wheel tone, used as a secondary accent on cards, tiles and blocks only. It never dominates a page. House identity is a solid wheel colour, never a hue-rotated rainbow mesh. Full system in Colour.
Reserve zones keep their own identity and are not recoloured to match the site. The one exception is the account surface, which was deliberately moved twice and is now settled.
Air does the work
The thesis in one line: size signals cheap, space signals expensive. When a page feels wrong, the answer is almost always more space and less emphasis. It is almost never a bigger heading, a new colour, or a line.
