Sell with us is the pitch and the application. This is what happens around it: how to pick a path, what we look at, how you get paid, and how you leave if it stops being useful.
Which path is yours
There are two, and the question that separates them is not how big you are. It is whether a checkout already exists.
| If this is true | Your path |
|---|---|
| You already sell somewhere and you want to keep that checkout | Partner brand. Flat 6% on sales we send you. |
| You have products but no store, or a store you would rather abandon | Launch a store. Beta, by application. |
| You sell on Shopify and want deeper integration later | Partner brand. The levels are in List on Shopify. |
| You are not on Shopify and want your catalog on PTD | Talk to us. Today that is a click-out tile or the launch path. |
| You want to promote rather than sell | Neither. That is the affiliate programme. |
You are not locked into the answer. Partner brands move deeper into the integration over time, and a launched store can be taken away with you.
What “reviewed by hand” means
Not a euphemism for a waitlist, and not an invite gate. It means a person reads your application, and it means the pilot has a real ceiling: 5 partner slots out of 12 total in this phase. We onboard by hand because at this size hand-onboarding is honest, not because we are manufacturing scarcity.
What we actually look at:
- Is the work real. Products that exist, or samples that do. Not a mood board.
- Can we sell it. Whether the catalog fits the buyers already here, which is a question about us as much as you.
- Can you fulfil. If you are a partner brand you own shipping and returns, so it has to be something you can already do.
- Would listing here help. If we cannot send you traffic worth 6%, the honest answer is no, and you should get that answer from us rather than after six months.
Rolling review, and the reply target is five to seven days. A no is a no with a reason.
The four ways a store connects
Every brand on PTD is one of these four shapes. It determines what a buyer sees, who takes the money, and what we can show.
| Shape | Where checkout happens | Setup on you |
|---|---|---|
| In-house | PTD | n/a. These are our own houses. |
| Partner · public Shopify | Your Shopify | Nothing. We read your public catalog and click out. |
| Partner · headless | Your Shopify, at the last step | A read-only Storefront token. Catalog and cart render on PTD. |
| Partner · click-out | Your store, wherever it is | Nothing. One tile, no catalog ingested. |
How the money reaches you
It depends on whose checkout the buyer used.
On your own checkout (partner brand): you receive 100% directly from your own processor, on your own schedule. We invoice the 6% monthly, in arrears, on attributed sales only. Nothing is deducted from your payouts, because your money never passes through us.
On PTD's checkout(in-house and launched stores): the seller's cut lands in the seller's own connected payout account at the moment of charge, via transfer_data.destination. The platform fee is taken as application_fee_amount on the same charge. Both settle in two business days.

Pausing and leaving
- Ask, and you are unlisted within 24 hours. No notice period, no exit interview.
- No fees accrue while you are paused.
- Coming back is a re-sync, not a re-application. Usually same day.
- You keep your customers, your catalog and your IP throughout, because we never held them.
A launched store is yours to take with you. The Phase 2 end state is self-hosted and seller-controlled, so leaving is the designed outcome rather than a failure case.
What we will never do
- Charge a listing fee, a monthly fee, or a fee on a sale we did not send you.
- Take exclusivity, or ask you to leave another platform.
- Take equity, IP or a claim on your audience.
- Put your products behind a PTD-branded label.
- Hold your money. On your checkout we never touch it; on ours it splits at the charge.
